The upcoming remake is written and directed by Rob Zombie, who has been developing the project for over two decades. Created by Allan Burns and Chris Hayward, The Munsters was a classic comedy series described as a satire of American suburban life. It ran on-air for 70 episodes from 1965 to 1966. Despite its short run, it received positive reviews and acclaim, including a Golden Globe nomination for Best Television Series.
