According to Deadline, Golden Globe nominee Lily Collins has signed on for the leading role in Hulu’s upcoming limited drama titled Razzlekhan: The Infamous Crocodile of Wall Street. The miniseries is expected to revolve around the crazy and true-life story of a crypto couple who got involved in one of the largest heists in history.
Razzlekhan: The Infamous Crocodile of Wall Street will be based on the New York magazine article titled “The Many Lives of Crypto’s Most Notorious Couple,” written by Kevin T. Dugan and Matt Stieb. The drama centers around Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein and Heather “Razzlekhan” Morgan (Collins), who are either heist masterminds or a pair of hapless wannabe entrepreneurs. The couple somehow stumbles onto a hard drive containing $3.6 billion in Bitcoin stolen from the Finex exchange.
“Described as a love story and crime thriller told with humor and honesty, the series will follow Heather and Ilya as they struggle with their relationship, the pressures of sitting on stolen crypto with no easy way to make it liquid, and their aspirations in the fishbowl of the NYC tech/media world,” reads the synopsis. “The show will be told through the eyes of the couple as well as hackers, bankers, law enforcement agents and friends.”
The project, which is currently still in early development, will be produced by Collins, Charlie McDowell, and Alex Orlovsky, with McDowell set as a director. It will be executive produced by Scoop Wasserstein for New York Magazine/Vox Media Studios.
