Daredevil Born Again Fan Poster Brings Back Punisher, Kingpin, & Echo

A new Daredevil: Born Again fan poster imagines Charlie Cox’s hero reuniting with Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Echo.

As audiences eagerly await his return in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, a new Daredevil: Born Again fan poster brings back the Punisher, Kingpin, Echo, and a couple of other familiar faces. In 2018, Marvel ended its relationship with Netflix and ABC, which resulted in the cancelation of half a dozen shows, including Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D, and Daredevil. Thankfully, the past year has seen a resurgence of characters from the latter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Last December, Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin made their MCU returns in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Disney+’s Hawkeye, respectively. Charlie Cox briefly appeared as Peter Parker’s lawyer in the former movie, while Vincent D’Onofrio reprised his role in Hawkeye’s final two episodes right after Maya Lopez/Echo (Alaqua Cox) shot him. While Kingpin’s fate was left unknown, it’s been confirmed that both D’Onofrio and Cox will appear in the Echo spinoff series, with Cox also reprising his role in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Spider-Man: Freshman Year before Daredevil: Born Again.

Digital artist Agt Design recently shared some art on Instagram that serves as a Daredevil: Born Again fan poster. The piece reunites Cox’s titular hero with Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/Punisher D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, Cox’s Echo, Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple, and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page. Check it out below:

As part of the MCU’s Phase Five, Daredevil: Born Again is set to be a direct sequel to Disney+’s Echo and the original Netflix series and will consist of 18 episodes, which are scheduled release in the Spring of 2024. Some are speculating the series will be a soft reboot of its predecessor, with Cox and D’Onofrio returning, with no other supporting actors from the Defenders Universe confirmed to be reprising their roles. However, reports have suggested that Echo will see Cox’s Daredevil looking for Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones and that Daredevil: Born Again could serve as the primary catalyst for the resurrection of her and Bernthal’s Punisher.

Although she ultimately walked back her comments, Dawson recently revealed that Bernthal may be returning as The Punisher in some capacity. Bernthal himself has said he wouldn’t reprise his Marvel role unless Frank Castle was granted a faithfully brutal portrayal in the MCU—which rings true for many worried Matt Corman and Chris Ord’s (Cover Affairs) Daredevil: Born Again won’t live up to its TV-MA predecessor. With Deadpool 3 and other R-rated projects like Marvel Zombies on the horizon, one can hope that maturity shouldn’t be an issue for the studio.
